Search Help
You can search the Funders Online directory at two level: simple, i.e. by name, country and/or website features; or advanced, i.e. by name, country, website features, subject/geographic/population focus and types of support provided. You can also search by making different combinations of all the above categories.
- You are looking for the website of a certain funder...
Enter at least part of the funder's name and press "Submit". If this specific funder has been registered with Funders Online, you will see the name on the Search Results list. To go directly to the funders website, click on the tick in front of the name; to see the funders profile, click on the name itself.
Tip: Generally, the names in the directory are in the language of the country of origin. In some cases, however, only the English equivalent is available. This is the case, for example, with languages using a non-Latin alphabet.
- You want to get the list of all foundations from a specific country that are registered with Funders Online...
Select the country you are interested in from the list and press "Submit". You will get the list of all funders from that country that have registered with Funders Online.
- You want to get a list of all the funders, registered with Funders Online, that are active in your country or region.
Select a country or region name from the list provided under "Geographic Focus" and press "Submit" to get such a list.
- You are looking for a specific type of information, such as programmes description.
Select the respective category from the list of website features and press "Submit". If you have not introduced any other specifications, you will get the list of all funders that have indicated they offer such information online.
Tip: For better results, always select a website feature in combination with a category from another field - for example country of location, or geographic focus.
- You are looking for funders active in Central and Eastern Europe, in the area of environment, providing application guidelines on their websites...
Select Application Guidelines from the website features list; Environment from the subject focus list and Central and Eastern Europe from the geographic focus list - and press "Submit" to get desired information.
